Commitment

Accessibility statement

Last updated: June 2026

Silioa is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

What we've done

  • Skip to content link — keyboard users can skip directly to main content.
  • Keyboard navigation — the entire site is navigable without a mouse. Focus states are visible.
  • Screen reader support — all interactive elements have proper ARIA labels and roles. Images have alt text or are marked as decorative.
  • Colour contrast — text and background colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Responsive design — the site works on phones, tablets, and desktops at any zoom level.
  • Reduced motion — we respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting and disable animations for users who request it.
  • Form labels — all form fields have visible or screen-reader labels and clear error states.

Known limitations

  • The interactive map on the Browse page may not be fully accessible with screen readers. A list view is available as an alternative.
  • Some third-party content (embedded maps, fonts) may have its own accessibility limitations outside our control.

How to report an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our site, please contact us. Include the page URL and a description of the issue. We take accessibility reports seriously and will work to fix them promptly.

Technical details

This site is built with semantic HTML5, ARIA where appropriate, and CSS that respects user preferences. We test with keyboard-only navigation and common screen readers. We do not use overlays or automated accessibility widgets — we build accessibility into the code.
